The following highlights describe how The Confessions Tour may have forecasted Chapter 2 – The Transfiguration of Christ almost 4-years in advance, something that didn’t occur to me until 2020, nearly 14-years after the tour. As evidence of its brilliance, you will need to study the complete lyrics to each song.
The Confessions Tour kicked off in Inglewood, California on May 21, 2006. Chapter 2 – The Transfiguration of Christ began almost 4-years later on February 16, 2010.
Future Lovers / I Feel Love
ICONOLOGY – Madonna popping out of a big blue crystal ball predicting my future of what was to come 4-years later. The black horse representing restriction, freedom, and strength. Madonna was the dominatrix. The reins symbolized restriction.
ICONOLOGY – No whip. No reins. No restriction. Asking a very simple question.
ICONOLOGY – There’s only so much you can learn in one place. The more that I wait, the more time that I waste. The starting point for the TTOC journey?
Live To Tell
ICONOLOGY – Numbers! Cross! Lyrics! Very TTOC. Enough said.
ICONOLOGY – Staring up into the heavens In this hell that binds your hands Will you sacrifice your comfort Make your way in a foreign land Wrestle with your darkness Angels call your name Can you hear what they are saying Will you ever be the same? Remember, remember Never forget All of your life has all been a test. You will find the gate that’s open Even though your spirit’s broken. Open up my heart ‘Cause my lips to speak. Bring the heavens and the stars. Down to earth for me.
A cage + the desert + a falcon (or hawk) + a son that is sacrificed. Angels call your name! See Chapter 2 – ACT I – 72 Days of God.
Erotica | You Thrill Me (Video above)
ICONOLOGY – My favorite dance number. Five spinning discs overhead.
ICONOLOGY – I made sure to follow my own inner guidance throughout TTOC. Little did I know at the time that it would be slow going. And Madonna got me to confess that fact directly to her face.
And those were just some of the highlights. The connection between Madonna’s music and Me will always have an aura of mystery for me. I can’t help notice it and write about it. For what it’s worth. Sixteen years and counting.
